I had a similar problem with my Lenovo laptop about 15 days ago. So I made these changes on my laptop. After that, I was getting sound from my laptop. So you can also try these steps on your laptop.

    • First of all, you need to open the device manager. To do that, you need to open the run box and type devmgmt.msc command. Now press the ok button.
    • Once you will see the device manager window, you need to click on the Sound, video and game controller.
    • Right-click on the sound driver and then click on the uninstall device button.
    • Now click on the uninstall button.
    • Just like that, if you have any other audio drivers installed in your device, you need to uninstall them by following the same procedure.
    • Finally, restart your computer.
Once you will restart your computer. It will start working fine.

Whenever audio is not working on the lenovo laptop, you need to check the sound and volume settings.

    • Ensure the volume is not muted or set to the lowest level.
      • Click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and adjust the volume slider.
    • Check if the correct audio output device is selected.
      • Right-click the speaker icon → Select “Sound Settings” → Under “Output”, ensure the correct device (like “Speakers” or “Headphones”) is selected.

    • Test the sound by playing an audio or video file.

Sometimes, speakers are not working because of the windows audio services. so i will ask you to restart the windows audio service. after that you should try to restart your laptop. it will start working fine.

    • Open Device Manager
    • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
    • Right-click on your audio device (e.g., Realtek Audio) and choose Update driver.
    • Select Search automatically for drivers to update.
    • If updating doesn’t work, select Uninstall device, restart your laptop, and let Windows reinstall the driver automatically.

If the audio services are not running properly, your speakers may not work. Restart the services as follows:

    1. Press Windows + R >> type services.msc, and hit Enter.
    2. Look for the Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder in the list.
    3. Right-click on each service and select Restart.
    4. Double-click each service, set the Startup type to Automatic, and click Apply.
    5. Close the Services window, restart your laptop, and check if the speakers start functioning.
