I have a lenovo yoga 7i series laptop. Although, I am quite happy with it's performance but nowadays, it is causing strange problem for me.

After couple of hours, my laptop gets automatically disconnected from the wifi and it doesn't detect the wireless network.

Once I restart my pc, my laptop automatically gets connected to the wireless network and it works fine for couple of hours again.

So I did some research on the internet, and there i found that this is a wireless driver issue. if I will update the wireless driver, My laptop will start working fine.

Now the challenge is, I Don't know how to update the wireless driver on the Lenovo laptop. If anyone can help me, please assist me? By the way I have a windows 11 pro version on my laptop.

Updating the wireless driver is not a very tough task. You can easily update it by following the instructions given below.

  1. First of all, you need to connect the laptop with internet through LAN or USB Tethering. So you can have uninterrupted internet connections.
  2. Now open the Run box on your windows by hitting the Windows + R button simultaneously.
  3. Type Devmgmt.msc and then press the ok button.
  4. Once you will get into the device manger, you need to click on the network adapters.
  5. Here, you need to right-click on the Wifi adapter and then click on the update driver.
  6. Now windows will ask you where you want to update it automatically or manually. Here, you need to click on the search automatically for drivers.
  7. Finally, windows will start searching for drivers. It will take a few minutes. Once windows will find the compatible driver. It will automatically update it.

That’s it! You can now reboot your computer, and then you may now check the wireless connection. it should be working fine now.

If windows is unable to update the driver automatically, you can download the latest driver and update it manually.

Here is the process to do that.

  1. First of all, you need to download the latest driver from Lenovo official website.
  2. Please open the device manger window by running the devmgmt.msc command.
  3. Now go to the network adapters >> Right-click on the wireless driver and then click on the Update driver.
  4. Here, you need to click on the “browse my computer for drivers”.
  5. Select the driver file from the browse section.
  6. Click on the next button.
  7. Once windows will update the driver, you will see finish option. Simply click on it.

Now windows will update the driver. If problem still persist, I will recommend you to visit: how to fix frequently disconnection problem on Lenovo laptop?

I think you should uninstall the current wifi driver from your laptop and then install a new version of driver into your laptop. For more information you can go to :
