I have a Lenovo Idea Centre mini desktop Model #01IRH8 MTM running Windows 11, purchased about 9 months ago.. The wireless mouse will periodically freeze, and there is no way out but to shut down and restart. I was using a Logitech mouse. When this problem began I bought a Lenovo wireless mouse thinking this would solve the problem, but nothing has changed. A drivers check tells me I have the most up-to-date driver. The freeze seems to come after heavy use of the mouse. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have a solution? I wonder would using a wired mouse via a USB port solve the problem? Thanks.
I had a similar problem with my dell computer. which I got fixed by disabling the power management for USB. you may also try that on your device. here are the steps to do that.
- Open Device Manager (press Win + X, then choose Device Manager).
- Find "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and expand the list.
- Right-click on each USB Root Hub, then choose "Properties."
- In the Power Management tab, uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
- Restart the PC and see if this resolves the issue.
Let's reset the Mouse and then try to establish the connection again. it will start working fine.
