I recently started organizing my Yahoo Mail inbox, and I realized it would be helpful to create some custom folders to sort my emails better. However, I’m not sure how to add new folders in my Yahoo Mail account. I’ve looked around the interface, but I can’t seem to figure it out.

Creating folders in Yahoo Mail is an effective way to organize your inbox and manage your emails efficiently. Follow these steps to add a new folder to your Yahoo Mail account:

1. Log In to Your Yahoo Mail Account

    • Open your web browser and go to the Yahoo Mail website.
    • Enter your username and password to access your inbox.

2. Locate the Folders Section

In the left-hand menu of your inbox, you’ll see a section labeled Folders below Inbox and other default categories.

3. Create a New Folder

Hover over the Folders section. You’ll see a small plus sign (+) or an option to Create Folder.
Click the plus sign or the Create Folder button.

4. Name Your Folder

A text box will appear, prompting you to enter a name for the new folder.
Type the desired name (e.g., “Work Emails” or “Receipts”) and press Enter or click Save.

5. Start Using Your Folder

The newly created folder will now appear under the Folders section.
To move emails into the folder, simply drag and drop them from your inbox or select emails, click the Move button, and choose your folder.
