Adding your Yahoo Mail account to Outlook 2024 is very easy. You can setup your account on outlook 2024 by using this guide:
1. Prepare Your Yahoo Account
To connect your Yahoo account to Outlook, you need to enable access for third-party apps:
- Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
- Go to Account Settings by clicking on your profile icon.
- Navigate to Account Security and enable the option for Allow apps that use less secure sign-in.
- Alternatively, generate an app password:
- Under Account Security, click Generate app password.
- Select “Outlook Desktop” from the list, generate a password, and note it down.
2. Open Outlook 2024
- Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
- Enter your Yahoo email address and click Connect.
3. Configure Yahoo Account Settings
- If prompted, enter the app password generated earlier instead of your regular Yahoo password. Outlook will automatically configure the IMAP settings, but if you need to input them manually:
Incoming Server (IMAP): imap.mail.yahoo.com, Port 993, SSL.
Outgoing Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com, Port 465 or 587, SSL.
