One common reason why Gmail can not receive new emails is insufficient storage space. Gmail provides 15GB of free storage shared across emails, Google Drive, and Photos.
If the storage is full, you won’t receive new emails. Here’s how to fix it:
1. Check Storage: Log in to your Gmail account. Scroll to the bottom of the inbox page to check your storage usage.
2. Free Up Space: if storage is full, you need to delete unnecessary emails, especially those with large attachments. Also, you need to empty the Trash and Spam folders to free up additional space.
3. Verify Spam Folder: Also, sometimes emails may land in the Spam folder. Check this folder and mark legitimate emails as “Not Spam”.
After clearing storage and reviewing folders, test by sending an email to yourself to ensure Gmail is receiving emails properly.
