Whenever linksys router is not working and it is showing you a flashing orange light. You should check the internet status on the modem first.
Are you getting internet on the DSL/ Adsl modem? If yes! Then you need to follow these troubleshooting steps to fix blinking orange light issue.
- First of all, you need to power off the router and modem for 30 seconds. Now turn on the modem first. After that, you need to turn on the router. Now wait for a minute. Check can you see the solid green light on your router or not.
- Disconnect the router from the modem and then wait for 5 seconds. Now reconnect it.
- Let’s make sure that the ethernet cable is not faulty. Also, check the RJ-45 connectors. They should not be loose. If you have an extra pair of cable, you need to replace the cable and then check the connection do you have a blue or it is still flashing orange.
- If none of these step works on your router, you need to reset the router. To reset the router, you need to press & hold the reset button for 1 minute. Now setup the router. It will start working fine on your device
