I’ve forgotten the admin password for my Netgear range extender and can’t access the settings. I want to reset the extender to its factory settings but don’t know how to do it without the password.
Can someone guide me through the reset process? Are there any precautions I need to take before resetting, and how do I reconfigure the extender afterward?

There is a physical button avaialable on the range extender that you can press to factory restore your range extender.
So If your netgear range extender is not working and you want to reset it. you can easily do it by following the steps given below.
- First of all, you need to power on the netgear range extender and wait until you will see steady power and other lights on your device
- Take the pin or pen, now press & hold the reset button on your router for a minute
- Once, you will see blinking lights on your range extender, you need to release the button.
Now your range extender has started the factory restore process, this may take couple of seconds, so you need to wait for a while.
Once you will get a solid light, this means, your range extender has restored itself to the factory settings. you may now setup it.

Simply, press & hold the reset button on your netgear extender for 20 seconds. once you will start seeing blinking orange light, you need to release the button.
Now wait until you will start seeing the stable lights.
