My netgear AX1800 Dual-band WiFi 6 Mesh Extender has a flashing orange light, eventhough i have installed it nearby the router. can you tell me the quick way to troubleshoot the problem.
It seems like, you have not completed the installation process. that's why you are getting the flashing orange light.
To setup the range extender you can follow the instructions given below:
- First of all, you need to place your range extender nearby the router.
- Now get the Wireless name and password for your router. so that you can connect the extender to the wireless network.
- Now power on the laptop and connect the range extender to the laptop. to do that, you need to click on the WIFI icon available in the taskbar. you will see the range extender name, you need to click on the range extender and then click on the connect button.
- Please open the browser and type http://mywifiext.net and click on the next button.
- Now follow the prompt to connect your range extender with the range extender.
Once you will make these changes into your range extender, your device will start working fine.
Have you verified the wireless name and security. Mostly, users face problem during the extender setup because of the incorrect SSID and password. so please verify the following things.
- Ensure that the extender is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network (SSID).
- Log in to the extender’s web interface (default: mywifiext.net) using a web browser.
- Check if the extender is synchronized with your router’s SSID and password.
I am also feeling that i am entering the incorrect password. I have a Belkin N300 wireless router. Can you tell me how can I find the network name and password.
