Whenever Gmail is not syncing with iPhone, you need to check the account syncing settings. Here are the steps to fix the issues.

  • Ensure that your iPhone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network.
  • Sometimes, a simple restart can fix syncing issues. Press and hold the power button, slide to power off, and then turn your iPhone back on.
  • let's check the account syncing settings. make sure that your account is syncing with the Gmail. to do that, you need to go  to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Gmail.
  • Ensure that Mail is turned on. If it's off, turn it on to enable syncing of your Gmail.
  • Let's make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS.
  • Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  • If Gmail is still not syncing, try removing and re-adding your Gmail account.
  • Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.
  • Select Gmail, and then tap Delete Account.
  • After that, go back to Accounts, select Add Account, and add your Gmail account again.
  • Make sure IMAP is enabled in Gmail. On your computer:
  • Go to Gmail > Settings (gear icon) > See all settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  • Ensure that IMAP is enabled.
  • To force Gmail to sync:
  • Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
  • Pull down from the top to refresh the mailbox and force a sync.

Check Google’s Status

There may be an issue with Google’s servers. Check if there are any ongoing outages by visiting Google’s G Suite Status Dashboard.

Check for App-Specific Passwords

If you're using two-factor authentication (2FA) for Gmail, ensure you're using an app-specific password for your email account.

  • You can generate an app-specific password from your Google account settings.

Ensure Background App Refresh is On

Ensure that the Mail app can refresh in the background:

  • Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
  • Make sure Mail is enabled for background refresh.

Clear Cache in the Gmail App (if using the app)

If you're using the Gmail app, clearing its cache can help:

  • Go to the Gmail app.
  • Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) > Settings > General settings > Clear search history.

Check Time and Date Settings

Incorrect date and time settings can interfere with syncing.

  • Go to Settings > General > Date & Time, and make sure Set Automatically is turned on.
