My Brother printer is not detecting the ink cartridge after I refilled it. Despite reinstalling the cartridge multiple times, the printer still displays an error message, such as "Ink Empty" or "Cannot Detect Ink Volume."
The cartridge has a small chip on top, and I followed a YouTube guide to refill it using a syringe. Initially, it worked fine, but now the printer is not recognizing the ink.
Is there a way to fix this issue, and could the chip or ink detection system be the problem? What troubleshooting steps can I take to get the printer to recognize the refilled cartridge?

Sometimes, the printer might not recognize the cartridge if it's not seated properly. Try removing the ink cartridge and carefully reinstalling it. Make sure it clicks into place and that you're using genuine Brother ink cartridges. After reinstalling, restart your printer and see if it detects the cartridge.
Now whenever we talk about genuine ink cartridge. you should always buy it from brothers official store or trusted stores.

There could be a temporary glitch causing the issue. Try resetting your printer by turning it off, unplugging it for 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in and turning it on. This can sometimes clear error messages or detection problems related to ink cartridges.

Sometimes the contacts on the ink cartridge or inside the printer can accumulate dust or ink residue, preventing proper communication. Turn off the printer, remove the cartridge, and gently clean the gold contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer using a soft, lint-free cloth or cotton swab.
